Where poets, spoken word artists, word- crafters, poem sculptors, lyricists, praise dancers & others lift you out of your comfort zone and set you down in deep thought while sharing the gifts God gave them.

POET-IFY is growing! When we started this venue in December 2005 about 25 people came to our CD release party held at LaRose Catering & Banquet Facility. Then we announced that we would be holding the venue the last Sunday of every month and the number varied from 20 to 35 in attendance.

In August 2008, POET-IFY was moved to it's new location, the Germantown Church of The Brethren Fellowship Hall and God began to bless in wonderous ways! Even though POET-IFY changed to a bi-monthly schedule attendance has steadily increased. In 2010, we experienced even more blessings being able to sponsor the newly opened Black Writer's Museum and provide prizes and special give-aways. God has been kind and through His people the word is spreading about this venue of positive entertainment where God-gifted people share a variety of talents, not just poetry.

Regrettably, has been an increase in the ticket costs due to the increase to rent the facility where POET-IFY is held. However, with faith in God, we do believe it will all work out.

CELESTE " the Sophisticated Poet" PRESTON will share her poetry and have copies of her book available.

GREG SOVER will share some of his music skills on the guitar with vocals that stir up memories.

Yes, America's got talent and SO DO WE!

OPEN MIC time available but spaces are limited in this family-friendly atmosphere.

Music by the MTM Band. Refreshments served.

Poets will have books, CDs, etc. for sale.

To all of the poets, singers and other artists who agreed to be featured guests in 2005, 2006 & 2007; God bless you, my friends. I especially want to thank the ones who came "out of retirement" to be featured guests. To the others I asked; even if I didn't know you well when I featured you at LaRose- Poet-ify's first location, I know you now. You have my thanks and gratitude. Now that we've begun again, please come back and bless the mic. You'll love our new location.
